Comment by Amanda Tullah - thanks for your contribution Amanda!
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
- Strong opposition from Residents. Over 200 opposition letters from residents sent to Warwick Planning and supported by 2 local MPs, Hockley Heath & Lapworth Parish Councils, Stratford on Avon District Council, local Ward Councillors and Hockley Heath Residents Association.
- Marina Plans viewed as ‘inappropriate development’ by Area Planning Officer. Developer required to submit its reasoning why there are Very Special Circumstances justifying why the development should proceed.
- In response, the Developer submitted a “Statement of Material Considerations”, supported by British Waterways’ document “Summary of Moorings in Solihull”.
- The Opposition Group Committee submitted 3 detailed documents, in response to the Statement of Material Considerations.
Area Planning Officer advised the Developer that their latest evidence of “need” for a Marina, was insufficient & invited them to present further evidence of need.
