VEHICLE THEFT IN BLACKBERRY AVENUE! 27th Nov 09
A white transit van was stolen from Blackberry Avenue at approximately 11 a.m. on Friday 27th November. The vehicle, parked outside number 20 belonged to builders working on the property at the time.
Early that morning, residents recalled being aware of a suspicious looking young man in the road between 8.40 a.m. & 8.55 a.m. The following is a description subsequently given to the Police:
Male, approximately 24 years of age, 5' 6" tall & slim. He was off-white in colour, possibly having a sallow complexion. He wore a grey or brown woolly hat, grey tracksuit top, with a white top visible around the waist line. His tracksuit trousers were lighter grey than the top and he wore white trainers whith a diamond pattern on the sole. He kept his hands in his pockets at all times.
At this time, it is not known whether this is the person responsible for the theft later that morning.
