3 Month Pilot...have your say NOW!

A new Home Office website gives residents a real say in how to improve the safety of our streets. Solihull has been chosen to pilot the scheme for a three month period...
The new interactive website gives every resident the opportunity to identify streets where they do and don’t feel safe. Using virtual ‘pins’, areas can be marked to indicate how safe you feel or whether you have a suggestion to make on how to tackle problems. Reasons can be given and photos uploaded to support your views. For example, you might say that you don't feel safe in your street because the street light outside your house has broken, or gangs congregate outside your home at night. The site can also be used to promote community safety initiatives taking place across the borough.
Website guidelines:
Once on the website home page, select Solihull from the 3 options listed.
Enter your Post Code or the post code of the area you wish to comment upon, in the box on the left hand side and hit return.
When the street/area comes up, single click - a box will come up saying add a pin.
Highlight which pin you want then click the orange 'add' button.
Next complete the form which will appear on the screen, giving as much or as little information as you see fit.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and hit the submit button - this will put the pin on the map!
