Hockley Heath Baby and Toddler Sale started 5 years ago to raise funds for Hockley Heath Gardening Club.

Hockley Heath Garden Club are celebrating 10 years of planting flowers around the village of Hockley Heath yet vandals strike again uprooting and damaging plants.

Recent times have seen many changes to our village. Some of these changes are positive and welcome. However, changes to our footpath routes have been seen by many as unwelcome.

A white transit van was stolen from Blackberry Avenue at approximately 11 a.m. on Friday 27th November. The vehicle, parked outside number 20 belonged to builders working on the property at the time.

The Sunday morning cycling club has been running now for 5 weeks where a handful of friendly people head out for 1 hour of sociable riding. If you
would like to join us please meet at the old Jag garage at 9:30am on Sunday 20th for the last ride before Xmas.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

• Strong opposition from Residents. Over 200 opposition letters from residents sent to Warwick Planning and supported by 2 local MPs, Hockley Heath & Lapworth Parish Councils, Stratford on Avon District Council, local Ward Councillors and Hockley Heath Residents Association.
• Marina Plans viewed as ‘inappropriate development’ by Area Planning Officer. Developer required to submit its reasoning why there are Very Special Circumstances justifying why the development should proceed.
• In response, the Developer submitted a “Statement of Material Considerations”, supported by British Waterways’ document “Summary of Moorings in Solihull”.
• The Opposition Group Committee submitted 3 detailed documents, in response to the Statement of Material Considerations.

• Area Planning Officer advised the Developer that their latest evidence of “need” for a Marina, was insufficient & invited them to present further evidence of need.
